Yukinobu Tatsu's Dandadan Manga to Get Anime Adaptation

Dandadan Manga is getting an anime series adaption in 2024.

Yukinobu Tatsu's popular manga series Dandadan is getting an anime adaptation by acclaimed studio Science Saru, the team behind acclaimed series like Ping Pong the Animation and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!. The adaptation will premiere in 2024.

Veteran director Fuga Yamashiro will helm the project, with Hiroshi Seko attached as scriptwriter and series composer. Seko is known for his work on anime series like Jujutsu Kaisen and Banana Fish. Kensuke Ushio, known for his work on the Space Dandy and A Certain Scientific Railgun series, will compose the music. Naoyuki Onda, who worked as character designer on series like The God of High School and Blood:C, will handle character designs for the Dandadan anime.

The Dandadan manga began serialization in 2021 in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ online manga magazine. Prior to creating his own series, Tatsu worked as an assistant to Tatsuki Fujimoto on Fire Punch and Chainsaw Man, and to Yuji Kaku on Jigokuraku. Viz Media has licensed the manga for an English-language release. The series currently has 8 volumes out in Japan, with more planned.

To settle matters, the two set out to prove each other wrong—Momo to a UFO hotspot and Okarun to a haunted tunnel!
